DFIR ยท Hardware & IoT Security

Every byte tells a story. My job is to uncover it.

I am a security researcher working in two fields: digital forensics and incident response, and hardware and IoT security.

For over a decade I have worked in DFIR, turning fragments of data in memory, storage and encrypted channels into evidence. That work taught me to read a system by the traces it leaves.

I bring the same discipline to hardware. I take devices apart, read the firmware off them and work out how they fail. Usually it comes down to the pins nobody documented, a boot process that trusts too much or the data left sitting in flash.

In both, the interesting findings live in the gap between what a system claims and what it actually does.
